PAC 23 is a poly aluminium chloride solution. It is a general purpose coagulant used in water treatment. The solution neutralises the electrostatic charges of colloids and aggregates the small particles to allow them to settle.
The advantages of using this product include;
- produces very low aluminium residuals and low sludge volumes compared to alum
- It removes colour (natural organic matter) and turbidity (colloidal matter)
- It reacts with and removes heavy metals such as arsenic, chromium and lead
